Over the past four years, our research group has implemented a comprehensive mentoring program in ten primary schools to prevent early school leaving by supporting students' school and career choices. The theoretical framework of our program is formed by the topics of early school leaving, as well as prevention programs and resilience research aimed at preventing it. While the former explores the individual and institutional factors of school failure, the latter examines the characteristics that make students successful despite social and economic disadvantages.
