National Scientific Students' Associations Conference

At the Institute of Education, the Educational Scientific Students’ Association (TDK) operates as a workshop, with the aim of becoming an open and interactive professional forum for students interested in educational research. By joining the workshop activities, students receive guidance from the faculty’s lecturers and researchers as supervisors, and the workshops based on the active collaboration of our members form an essential part of the TDK.

In line with its objectives, the Scientific Students’ Association of the Institute of Education continuously supports the traditions of student research based on individual work, while at the same time strengthening the professional workshop-based approach. The workshop openly welcomes pedagogy BA, educational science MA, and teacher training students interested in educational research.

About OTDK

The National Association for Student Research (OTDT) was established in Hungary in 1973 to coordinate scientific and artistic student circles organised at the level of higher education institutions. Accordingly, OTDT’s task is to represent, support and unite students engaged in scientific activities at higher education institutions and the teachers and researchers who support and assist them at a national level, to ensure the conditions for the functioning of the professional committees that play a central role in the Hungarian tradition of associations for student research, and to organise scientific events and forums of a national nature.

Every two years, OTDT organises the National Student Research Conference (OTDK), which presents the scientific achievements of the most outstanding students and colleges in the framework of an evaluation forum, validated by a panel of experts, professors and academics.

Institutional TDK conference

The expected date of the next institutional TDK conference:

April 14, 2026 (Tuesday 10:00 AM)

Applications for the next spring institutional TDK conference should be submitted by e-mail to Dr. Attila Rausch (rausch.attila@ppk.elte.hu) the institutional TDK coordinator.

The e-mail should include the following information:

Title of the TDK research paper
Name(s) of the student(s), program(s), and year(s) of study
Name(s) and academic title(s) of the supervisor(s)

Applications for the spring TDK conference are accepted until March 16, 12:00 p.m.

Participation in the institutional conference is required to qualify for entry into the Psychology and Education Section of the National Scientific Students’ Conference (OTDK).
