The Cognitive Development and Education Research Group focuses on efficient adaptation in school and the cognitive skills that are required for that, especially on self-regulatory and executive function skills, which are strong predictors of school readiness, social and emotional well-being and later academic achievement.

Based on our meta-analytic results, the group has started testing the effects of mindfulness-based interventions for fostering children’s executive function skills and stress management.
